About Velohawk

By Cyclists for Cyclists

Why we do what we do

Velohawk was born from frustration and a vision for something better.

For James Doughty, cycling has never been just a hobby. After getting into triathlons in the Middle East in the early 2000s, James went on to complete many Ironman races and developed a lifelong passion for cycling.

Over the years, he noticed the same problem in homes everywhere. There was rarely a dedicated place for bikes. They ended up in hallways, bathrooms, laundry rooms, garages, and other spaces that were never designed for them. The available storage solutions were often flimsy, insecure, or unattractive. Some could even damage the very bikes they were meant to protect.

James knew cyclists deserved a better solution.

Founded in New Zealand and now serving the UAE, Velohawk reimagines bicycle storage for modern living. Our goal is to create secure, practical storage that looks as considered as the bikes it protects, without compromising the beauty of your home.

The Philosophy

PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE

At Velohawk, we believe the ride doesn't end when you reach your door. It continues in the way you honor your machine. We design architectural storage for those who understand that consistency is built in the marginal gains—the 1% of effort and the ritual of care.
